Hello!
It was great to meet some of you at Open House! I enjoyed speaking with you in regards to my class runs and what great things we will be studying over the course of the year. We have an exciting field trip coming up at the end of the month! We will be attending Common Ground High School to learn how to make pizza using natural ingredients from the earth. Students will learn how each ingredient originates and how its uniqueness makes it great! The cost of the trip is $8 per student. Be on the lookout for a permission slip about this trip. If you would like to volunteer to chaperone this trip, please feel free to reach out to me. My contact information is under contact and newsletter tab.
Please review the Student/Parent handbook in regards to our attendance and uniform policy.
Homework is very important for our children to complete as it reinforces the concepts taught in school. Please check the agenda daily to keep up on your child’s homework. It is also a way for me to communicate with you regarding your child’s day to day performance at school.
Please make certain your child is reading every night for 30 minutes and practicing their math facts daily.
Character Ed.
It is important that students are in a healthy and safe environment. Each month we will highlight an element of good character. October's Character Education Word is RESPECT.
"Good, Better, Best..........Never Let It Rest, 'Till Your Good Is Better And Your Better Is Best!"
The students NEED YOUR HELP!! Please be diligent about checking your child's agenda and homework. The concepts taught at school are being reinforced through homework. It also provides me with a quick assessment as to how the students are doing. This is especially true of the new concepts that are introduced.
Students are working hard to learn new things everyday.
We must continue to be positive role models in students' lives and support their learning!
There is a section listed RESOURCES in the upper left-hand corner of this website. It lists some free and useful websites for your children to access and practice their skills at home or while away from school.
